Eden Project

Karen Gimlinge – artist working at Eden Project – Summer 2012

These workshops involved visitors & families engaging with the ideas of making your own paper. People write their thoughts or stories – this narrative is hung amongst the trees as a  small token to merge connectivity of perhaps the human, nature & trees.

‘As well as telling the story about the threat to these plants, it is also important to demonstrate their beauty. This arboretum is a picturesque, relaxing place, a place to breathe deeply and serves as a contrast to the bustling Eden pit at the height of summer.’

I worked with artist – Freya Morgan
She says of this work – ‘it weaves mythical written and visual narratives to tell the stories of plants and creatures from threatened eco-systems, and to spin a space for dreaming.
